Take a Tour
All the recycling collected from your recycling bin is processed at the Gateshead Material Recovery Facility or MRF by Solo Resource Recovery. The new state- of-the-art facility began operation in December 2013 with the ability to sort over 100,000 tonnes a year before it is sent off for reprocessing into new products. The video will give you a brief tour of the sorting process in action.
